Did you know that the University of South Carolina has a dedicated program called the South Carolina Smart State Center for Environmental Nanoscience and Risk (CENR). The CENR conducts research and develops technologies to help mitigate environmental risks, including those associated with hazardous materials such as asbestos, mold, and lead. Their work includes investigating ways to detect and remove these materials from the environment, as well as developing safer materials for use in construction and other industries.
