Field sampling identifies what asbestos materials are present. Our report puts a written recommendation next to each finding: leave it, encapsulate it, abate it. We do both, and we hand you the report you actually need.
What the written report adds to field sampling
A baseline asbestos field sampling engagement answers one question: are asbestos-containing materials present in this building, and if so, where? You walk the property, identify suspect materials, take samples, send them to the lab, and document the results in a survey report.
The written report answers the next question: what should be done about each finding? Every identified ACM gets a condition rating, an exposure-potential rating, and a recommendation, manage in place, repair, encapsulate, or remove. The report is the document your property manager, contractor, or attorney actually uses to plan work and price risk.
Real situations that need field sampling and a written report, not just a sample result
Pre-purchase due diligence
You're buying a pre-2000 building. The seller has no asbestos records. The field sampling report tells you what materials are present, what the condition is, and roughly what remediation would cost, before you sign.
Pre-demolition / pre-renovation
EPA NESHAP requires an ACM survey before demolition. Our sampling and report goes further: it identifies what must be abated before work starts, what can stay in place, and what the disposal stream looks like.
Tenant or worker safety
An employer or building owner wants to know whether any of the materials in the occupied space pose an exposure risk to people working there. The sampling report rates each one.
Insurance and liability reviews
Insurance underwriters and litigation counsel often need a written, dated field sampling report that documents the asbestos picture in a property as a defensible record.

NVLAP-accredited PLM (or TEM, where called for) results for each sample. Chain-of-custody attached.
Condition rating
Good / damaged / significantly damaged for each ACM, with notes on friability and disturbance potential.
Risk & exposure rating
Likelihood and severity of fiber release given the material's location, condition, and occupancy patterns.
Recommendations
Specific action for each finding: manage in place, repair, encapsulate, or abate, with prioritization.
