VOC & Indoor
Air Quality Testing
Found fast. Analyzed right. Real-time field screening to pinpoint the source, plus regulatory-grade laboratory analysis when you need compound-level proof. Results in up to 5 business days.
Where VOCs come from
Volatile organic compounds off-gas from building materials (flooring adhesives, paints and coatings, composite wood), furnishings and finishes (new furniture, carpet, upholstery treatments, cleaning products), and HVAC and infrastructure (duct linings, sealants, insulation, combustion byproducts).
VOCs can damage the liver, kidneys, and central nervous system. Identifying the source early enables corrective action before symptoms escalate.
One streamlined process
Start with a fast, affordable screen. Escalate to laboratory analysis only when the readings call for it.
VOC Index Screening
SentinelAir Pro™ PID field investigation with real-time VOC Index readings.
Room-by-room contamination mapping · source ID by VOC signature pattern · written field findings summary.
Best for: initial investigations, complaint response, pre-renovation. Most affordable option, same day.
Tedlar Bag Sampling + Lab Analysis
Regulatory-grade, compound-specific identification by GC/MS.
Targeted Tedlar bag air collection on-site · concentrations vs. OSHA / EPA / NJ DEP limits · full chain-of-custody.
Best for: compliance, litigation support, and high-concern or repeated readings. Results in up to 5 business days.
A normalized 0–500 score from real-time TVOC readings
Derived from TVOC field readings (mg/m³, PID isobutylene equivalent). Every investigation begins with an outdoor baseline; indoor readings are interpreted relative to that control. Field screening guide only.
From screening to signed report
1 · On-site screening
A certified field professional systematically scans the property with the SentinelAir Pro™, logging VOC Index readings room by room against an outdoor baseline.
2 · Source identification
Elevated zones are cross-referenced with emission sources, adhesives, flooring, cabinetry, paints, cleaning agents. Many cases close here.
3 · Tedlar bag collection
When compound-level analysis is required, inert Tedlar bag samples are collected at flagged locations under strict chain of custody.
4 · Laboratory analysis & report
Samples analyzed by GC/MS. The report includes compound ID, concentrations, comparison to health standards, and remediation guidance.
