For homeowners

Worried about something in your home? Let’s find out what it is.

Asbestos, mold, lead, water, air quality — you don’t need to know the technical terms. Tell us what’s going on and our accredited lab team handles the rest.

Real people, real answers. A specialist calls you back — usually the same business day.

Homeowner questions, answered

The things people actually ask us first.

Don’t disturb, sand, cut, or remove the material you’re worried about — that’s what can release fibers into the air. Leave it alone, keep the area undisturbed, and let a trained technician collect the sample safely. Request a call back above and we’ll walk you through it.
Either works, and it depends on the test. For some concerns, like suspected asbestos, we recommend a technician collect the sample for safety and accuracy. For others a simple drop-off or mail-in kit is fine. Tell us your situation and we’ll recommend the safest, easiest option.
It depends on what you’re testing and how many samples are involved — but you’ll get a clear, upfront price before anything begins. No surprises. Request a call back and we’ll give you a straight answer for your specific situation.
Most homeowner results come back within a few business days, and rush options are often available if you’re on a deadline such as a home sale or a renovation. We’ll confirm the timeline when we scope your request.
For water and some other tests, yes — we’ll give you simple instructions. For asbestos and certain hazards we don’t recommend it: disturbing the material can be the very thing that creates a risk. When in doubt, let us collect it.
We work with homeowners across New Jersey and New York, with mail-in options available more broadly. Not sure if you’re covered? Just ask when you reach out.
This page is built for homeowners. If you’re a professional and already know the analysis you need — PCM, PLM, TEM, TCLP, sample counts, turnaround — use our professional intake form instead, which is set up for exactly that.
