Mold exists naturally almost everywhere, indoors and outdoors. There is no such thing as a mold-free environment.
Remediation is all about putting the mold level back to normal.
Mold is a fungus that needs water to grow. If you have mold, that means there is a water incursion in either wall interiors, basements, kitchens, bathrooms, crawl spaces, attics. It travels through the air as tiny spores which immediately spread to other areas and may cause allergic reactions and diseases.
BUT… WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ME?
TO REMEDIATE A MOLD PROBLEM
you will need to find the source of moisture.
ONLY AFTER THE SOURCE of moisture is determined and remediated can the mold be treated and removed
MOLD can also be a problem during
Real Estate transactions
pre-sale HOME inspection
When mold is found during a pre-sale home inspection, it holds back the entire pre-selling or even selling process. Often, deals are put down or aside resulting frustration for everyone.
BUT THERE’S good news!
Keep calm, we ensure you that the existence of mold in most cases is really easy to fix. After all, the mold presence doesn’t have to give you hard time to succeed your transaction.
If a mold inspection and mold testing is necessary, there are four steps to be taken.
Our professional conducts an inspection of the property including
It involves a trained and Certified Professional inspecting for water or moisture intrusion and mold growth. This process usually takes less than 1 hour to perform. The technician will also perform an Air Quality Test and/or direct sample test to help identify the magnitude of the problem.
The samples are submitted to the Laboratory
All samples will be analyzed at our Certified Laboratory facility under the Environmental Standard criteria. After the testing we will provide the results in an easy-to-read report.
Remediating the problem
The results will give you certainty about the levels of mold and the focus of the water intrusion. With the results in hand and if elevated mold is found it is time to find a remediation service company.
Post Remediation Testing (Clearance Air Testing)
After remediating the problem, a third party company must perform what is commonly called Clearance Air Test to ensure the mold level is back to normal.
