Turn-Around Time

Iris Environmental Laboratories realizes how important timely results are to our clients. It is important that the client specifies in advance the turn-around time on their paperwork to avoid any unnecessary delays. Turn-around times are based on working days and not calendar days. Though we provide the solutions as soon as possible.

We typically default ‘no turn-around’ submittals as three day. By the end of the third working day, results are communicated (email, verbally, faxed, or specified etc.) before 5:30PM EST. Rush turn-around can also be provided. Please confirm rush samples in advance by contacting our customer service contacts, Submit samples online or use the Analytical Request Form. We observe the following turn-around times:

  • RUSH [within 3 hours, with advance confirmation]
  • 6 Hr [within 6 Hrs of receipt, with advance confirmation]
  • 12 Hr [within 12 Hrs of receipt, with advance confirmation]
  • 24 Hr [next day results, specific times available with advance confirmation]
  • 2 Day [results by the end of the second business day]
  • 3 Day [results by the end of the third business day]
  • Not Specified [results by the third day]

Sample Submission

All samples sent to Iris Environmental Laboratories should be accompanied by a Chain of custody form. Iris Environmental Laboratories encourages our clients to employ their own documentation and forms. Iris Environmental Laboratories can supply approved forms for various asbestos and lead analyses.

Data Interpretation

Iris Environmental Laboratories is not an environmental engineering or consulting firm. We do, however, seek to assist clients who request information on certain methods, limits of quantitation, threshold values, and general information relating to the interpretation of their analytical data. To receive information about the following subjects, please select the indicated link.

In accordance with established protocols, a minimum of one blank should be submitted for each type of analysis requested in a given batch of samples, even if the batch consists of only one sample. If blanks are submitted, but the client desires that they not be analyzed, regardless of analytical method, this must be clearly written on the client’s sample log or chain of custody. Blank samples are charged at the normal sample rate.

Payment Terms

A completed credit application must be on file for Iris Environmental Laboratories to extend credit beyond a nominal limit. Payment are due upon receipt. In absence of an established credit arrangement or authorized purchase order, all analyses must be prepaid. Iris Environmental Laboratories accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
